HOW THE BROW LAMINATION PROCESS WORKS

Thin or thick brows, stubborn hairs that don’t want to stay in place, even sparse areas or gaps that need to be filled in, our staff at Total Skin and Wellness can help refresh and rejuvenate your brows.
The process is quick and simple and it begins with our aesthetician cleaning your eyebrows to remove dirt, oil, and makeup residue that might be left behind in your brows. From there, your brows are combed and coated with a special chemical solution designed to soften and relax the hairs of the brow. The brows are combed into position as another setting solution is added until the hairs are firmly set in place.
Next is the tinting portion of the lamination process as brow tint is applied to your brows for color depth and density to complement your skin type and facial features and your aesthetician will tweeze and shape the brow for definition to accomplish the exact look you want. Lastly, your brows are given a nourishing treatment to keep them hydrated.
After your brow lamination procedure is finished, you walk out with beautiful, fluffy, and natural-looking eyebrows that last for up to eight weeks.
PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
We ask all brow lamination clients to follow some recommended guidelines in preparing for an upcoming appointment. This includes refraining from the use of any skincare products that contain alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), and retinol, or any other exfoliating face serums or creams at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. These ingredients can increase skin sensitivity and result in a reaction to the solutions that are used during your brow lamination session.
In addition, clients should allow their brows to grow out for at least four weeks prior to the scheduled appointment. No tweezing, plucking, trimming, waxing or threading of the eyebrows will allow for the best results from your brow lamination session.
Clients with sunburn or have been diagnosed with skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis should alert the aesthetician prior to the start of treatment. Any chemical sensitivities should also be disclosed to avoid any adverse skin reactions. Your aesthetician will be able to determine if going forward with your brow lamination is recommended. WHAT ARE THE AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS?
Upon completion of your brow lamination treatment session, your aesthetician will provide you with some aftercare instructions. The most important is to make sure you do not wash or otherwise get your eyebrows wet for at least 48 hours after your appointment. This is because water can damage your lamination. Application of a moisturizing oil or serum is recommended one week after your appointment to keep your brows hydrated and nourished.
